You can split up your house into multiple areas to be alarmed independently.
Hi there and welcome to the forum! ![]()
Unfortunately, there is no possibility to set a second instance of Alarmo. There are ways, but these are very complicated and only for people, who really know what they are doing in coding…you’d need to duplicate Alarmo as your own integration.
But…why would you need that? Maybe there’s a different possibilty to get where you want to. ![]()
As a tip, you might get more responses, if you ask in the Alarmo thread, as people familiar with Alarmo (eg. the developer) are looking there for questions, where this thread here might get overlooked. ![]()
Hi,
I’m not sure if this is the right place, or if my issue is due to app config or something i am doing.
I have a number of panels setup round the home, and there’s three people in the house. I have set each person up with their own alarm pin code (I get them to key it into at setup so I don’t know their code as it’s something memorable to them), plus I setup the cleaner with a code, to arm and disarm. And when armed, each panel switches to display Alarmo only. My lights, siren, notifications, automations are all setup, tested and working OK…
Now, the issue… I arm Alarmo and go out. Someone else comes homes before I do and tries to disarm with their code, and it tells them it’s an incorrect pin and the alarm eventually goes off. They have to phone me and I have to give them my pin over the phone in order to disarm the alarm - not very secure.
I have tested this by Arming Home, and resetting their pin to 0000 (as well as other pins) for testing, then arming as myself, and trying to disarm as them, and i get the same error.
It seems like it’s only working as the account that’s signed into the dashboard (which is setup with the same pin as me as i’m admin and that’s the pin i remember).
Is this the case that Alarmo only works for the user account signed into the dashboard, and all users setup in Alarmo are ignored unless they are the signed in user of the dashboard?
I’d appreciate some help with this, as I don’t want to know their pin, I don’t want them knowing my pin, and I want an alarm that other people can use, and I don’t have to hand hold everyone through the door so I can disarm when they come home.
Thanks
