Alexa Devices - Actionable Notifications

Hi,

I am a fairly new user of Home Assistant (coming from the dark side with OpenHAB), so please bear with me if I am not 100% correct with the terminology.

I implemented a lot of Alexa stuff using the HACS Alexa Media Player (AMP). Having read the forum a lot, I have now migrated to Alexa Devices as that is going to be more future proof.

I have two automations which use Alexa actionable notifications - Alexa asks a question and waits for a reply. So far as I can see, that is not yet supported by Alexa Devices, so I have left those two bits in AMP for now. Have I missed something in Alexa Devices, and what is there already is capable of doing actionable notifications? If not, then is it going to be on the road map somewhere?

No Answer for you. I am in the same boat moved away from Alexa Media Player component to the built in alexa, I love the ease of use to get devices to speak alerts. But I miss the Alexa Actionable notification. Has anyone figured it out

Echo Devices (Alexa) as Media Player - Testers Needed

Alexa Devices now has timers/alarms/reminders working. For Actionable Notifications to work, we need an active HTTPS web socket, which Alexa Devices has a PR for, but it hasn’t been merged. The developers are currently refactoring the integration for this functionality, all while navigating Amazon constantly changing their API/endpoints. It’s a work in-progress.
