Alexa Devices integration, silver?

Hello,

The Alexa Devices integration has a Silver rating.

Is it normal for a Silver integration to constantly have operational problems? Practically every month this integration stops working. I understand that these are changes at Amazon, and the developer is willing to resolve everything, but it’s a fragile integration due to Amazon’s operating procedures.

Honestly, I don’t believe this integration should be Silver, which is supposed to be a robust and reliable integration, but the result is unreliable; it’s not possible to depend on this integration.

I don’t devalue the developer’s work; they are not to blame. I perfectly understand the challenge.

But as stated, for an integration so vulnerable to Amazon’s changes, it’s reckless to classify it as Silver.

IMHO.

I think you’ve had a translation error… AD is rated Platinum (platina) not Silver (prata). :upside_down_face:

There have been a few other comments along these lines…

It’s annoying that it isn’t working, but I’m on the fence on this one.

The reason that AMP is working now and AD isn’t is that, as a custom integration, AMP can push updates on its own timeline. You can’t really fault AD for the fact that HA does monolithic updates and bug fix updates are only put out once a week.

Maybe we need an Enshitification badge to go on any Cloud-based integration from companies known to do annoying shit like Amazon.
