Alexa Media Player reports Unknown error occured during setup

Hello all,

I am trying to setup AMP and got stuck with an unknown error on the top.
What did do?
Filled in email and pw
changed to correct Amazon domain
Left the prefilled IP internal IP Adress
Included devices

I tried as well the intgrated OTP Method with the long digit key from Amazon and Amazon showed increased the number of devices after that.
Hower the unknown error still occurs.

Is it necessary that HA is reachable from outside with a DNS service for this to work or is something broken?

Hello,
I have the same problem you described. It seems to be related with the latest version of this integration (v4.12.3). Downgrading to version 4.12.1 for example, fixes the problem (at least on my side).

Hi, could you tell me how to change the version?

Just delete the actual version and install from scratch with .1 at the end. Reboot in between each step.
Version selection comes up when installing.

And yes old .1 version works.
Even though there is a new fresh update it still suffers the error.

That will be through the console or something, since you do and its search engine does not work, please, could you specify in a little more detail how to do it?
Thank you!

I’ve downgraded to version 4.12.1 through HACS. Select your integration, clic on the ‘3 dots’ on the right and select redownload. You’ll be able to select the version you want (this HACS feature will be disabled soon)

After down grading to 4.12.1 I’m getting internal server errors when adding in the capcha code on the capcha auth redirect :see_no_evil: is there a known issue with auth right now?

No known issues on my side, I’ve been able to go through the login and capcha process without problem

Just tried again and it fixed itself, looks like it was a bit of a blip with my server. Apologises!
