Alexa notification is not working

Since the changes the notification in Alexa to register does not work.

Do you now have to have two factor authentication in Alexa active to make this work?

I athenticate from the SMS link, opens the browser into AWS, I accept, says its approved, HA does nothing and wont move when Submit is pressed.

Help!

Two factor authentication is now a requirement for the component… I would recommend trying the Authenticator app method if you can’t get it to work with the code Amazon sends you… a few people had trouble getting it to work successfully…

Thanks you were right.

FYI - I could only get it working one way though and I also had to let it, er, settle for want of a better phrase.

  1. I downloaded the Google Authenticator to my phone
  2. I chose the QR-Code method
  3. Went to Amazon, My Account, Login & Security
  4. Chose 2 FA
  5. Scaned the QR code with my phone
  6. Went and had dinner (so no idea how long it took to settle, didn’t work straight away)
  7. Entered in the number from Google Authenticator, and the Captcha phrase.
  8. Say “Hurrah, Bartem is great!”
