All automations off after .49 upgrade

So I recently upgraded from .47 -> .49 and after doing so, All of my automations are “off”. Even if i manually go through and turn them back “on”, they never fire.

I’ve restarted HA several times, with no effect. I’ve also tried (for giggles) a reboot, but that still had no effect. All automations were working great in .47. I’ve looked through the release notes to see if I missed anything, as well as a quick search on the forum, and issue tracker, but didn’t find much.

My automations can be found here on github. I hope it’s just a simple syntax error. Any idea?

I take it there’s nothing in the logs to suggest why they’re not running?

Can you manually trigger them from the interface?

You are correct, there is nothing in the logs related to why they wouldn’t be firing.

I’ve manually turned on 2 automations from within dev-tools/states, and performed the operation that would normally trigger the automation, but nothing happened, and nothing in the logs either.

What happens when you click on ‘trigger’ in the interface?

(you may need to disable your default_view override so that you can click on the automation and access the trigger button)

So I created a test group, with a few automations in it, then added it to a visible view, and reloaded. Found the group, clicked “trigger” for an automation, and it fired and performed the action.

And, having done that, that same automation is not triggering based on the trigger defined in the automation?

Well… Oddly enough, after doing that, the automation is now triggering like it should (no idea why).

The ones that you were trying originally, were they the apple TV ones? If so have you checked the breaking change to apple TV devices?

They were, and yes I have, I’ve already converted and integrated the changes to the apple TV component, and it’s working in HA as expected.

I’ve also added all automations to my test group, and turned them on (they were off).

All sorted now?

I’ll have to wait and see if the automations fire, like they should. I’ll report back. In the mean time, thanks for the help @anon43302295.
