Hi all!
Hope I’ve posted this in the right place with the right tags… I’m new to HA (had it for barely 2-3wks) & trying to get everything set up. Pre-HA, I was using a standalone Amazon Echo Dot with built-in zigbee. I am migrating everything to HAOS except the Echo Dot. (The invasive Echo is going to be unplugged/not used.)
- HAOS 15.1 on a laptop (shows Core & Supervisor on 2025.03.4)
- HA ZBT-1 Zigbee dongle
- Thirdreality switch, firmware 3RSS009Z
The devices have been unpaired from the Echo and were working for a few days under HA. But on Mar31, all but 1 switch has stopped working. They are all listed/shown in HA, and their toggles are on the dashboard, but they can’t be switched on/off & their battery statuses all shown as a question mark.
The 1 working switch has the same firmware as the others, so that adds to my confusion. None of the switches show up on the app but that’s been since day 1 – even when they did work or when they were on the Echo. I’ve confirmed they didn’t get re-added to the Echo automatically.
I had working automations for them and I’m afraid that if I remove the devices and re-add them, that I’ll still have the issue and I’ll have to recreate the automations.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! Please keep in mind I am new to HA, so you may have to spell things out or break things down. Thanks!
(fyi - I haven’t taken the HA core update 4.0 because several posters here recommended to always wait for a x.1 update and never take the x.0 update or things may break.)
