All my Zigbee devices keep becoming Unavailable

Hello,

I have several Zigbee devices connected to HA using the SkyConnect dongle; I’m using ZHA to manage it all.

Up until a week or two ago, everything was perfectly fine. But then I started noticing all my devices not responding properly; it was spotty, sometimes they did, sometimes not, sometimes after a delay; they would also show as Unavailable/Offline in ZHA or entities, so totally unresponsive. Now it’s gotten to the point where they just all show as completely offline no matter what I do.

I think this coincided with me installing some Core updates, but I’m not sure; I did a bunch of the recommended automatic updates all at once, and I feel like it’s been giving me issues since.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be going wrong here? Or what steps I could take to investigate? I can’t find any error logs or anything, beyond just “device failed to respond” in a few cases.

Not enough routers would be my guess. Install one of these in each room so that no end device is more than 2M from a router or the coordinatlr (hub). Wired devices, like a wall switch is likely to also be a Zigbee router.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!

I think I’ve at least managed to find the source of the problem: I’ve bought a new wireless mouse. Which of course uses the same frequency range as Zigbee to communicate, and it seems like it’s causing interference. The thing is, I was already using a different wireless mouse and that one didn’t cause any issues, but I guess this new one is just causing more noise…

So for now I’ve just moved the Zigbee dongle further away, and that seems to be helping. I’m also considering buying an extra router device, just to make the whole network a bit more stable.

I also think the IKEA switches I have might just be especially weak.
