All zha devices suddenly offline

Hi all,

All my ZHA devices became unresponsive.

I did an update a few days ago (to 2025.10), but initially everything was working find.
After a while devices started behaving a bit strange and I got following warning (zigbee network settings have changed):

Even when restoring, the devices remain offline.

I tried to restore a backup from two weeks ago. But once booted, same message appears again.

I can retrigger the situation by moving the zigbee.db file from the backup to the config directory in home assistant.

ha core stop
place zigbee.db file
ha core start

When ha core starts, the same message appears again.

I have no clue how we got in this situation. I did literally do nothing the last week to my home assistant (no new addons, plugins, devices, …), but yet my zha seems completely broken.

There seems also nothing to be find in the logs.

Anyone has an idea how to debug this situation and restore my zigbee network?

Thanks in advance!

I am now thinking that my controller might be dead. Looks like I am unable to pair new devices.

Any other way how I can verify this hypothesis?

You have not provided much information here, but as a guess your zigbee stick may have changed TTY designations, especially if you have more that one radio plugged into your server.

The TTY ports can sometimes change internally, so it is suggested to use the /serial/by-id/ URL that always talks to your dongle by serial so it is always right.
You can find out that that is by using:

and looking for it under all hardware, something like this:

That’s seems to be alright. HAS can talk to the device.

Just installed a new sonoff zigbee controller, did the migration, but no luck. All devices remain offline.
