Alternative way to support HA

Hi there
Iam wondering if there are alternative ways to support HA ? I love the project and Iam willing to honor.
But I do not want to do this through NabuCasa which known as US located company.

Any alternative non US options ?
thx Bernhard

You could pay a freelance developer to implement/fix stuff that you want. Of course I cannot guarantee that such contributions won’t be ignored. Their GitHub doesn’t accept feature requests, only bugs. Out of 2.6k open issues, 2 have the “good first issue” tag and 35 have the “help-wanted” tag (indicating that fixes for them would most likely be merged. I’ve seen fixes being rejected because the current faulty/limited behavior was documented). If you wanted to implement something from the “feature requests” category, like RBAC - Role Based Access Control (Users & Groups rights) , I don’t even know how that could be done in a way that resulted in a merged PR.

Not sure where you got that from, maybe stale data from AI?

Nabu Casa (and ESPHome) is now part of Open Home Foundation, which is registered in Switzerland. Openhomefoundation | FOSS Foundations Directory

There’s a blog post which explains why on the HA blogs too, but I can’t find it right now. However, I did find this How the Open Home Foundation is organized – Open Home Foundation
