I just wanted to post this discovery in case anyone runs into this same problem. I recently switched from AMP to Amazon Devices. I have an automation called “Bedtime” that basically has Alexa tell me several things when I go to bed (e.g., tomorrow’s weather, appointments, wake-up alarms set, etc.), These “Send Text Commands” all follow directly after each other.
What I discovered is that you must add a “Delay” before each Text Command else Alexa will end up skipping some of the commands. I believe that the automation is probably sending commands to Alexa faster than she can handle. My delays I added range anywhere between just a couple seconds to up to 15 seconds according to what the normal length of the Text Command needs to complete. A very simple fix, but something I thought you should be aware of incase your automation is not performing the way you think it should.
