I’ve never used Amazon devices, but I need to create simple automations. By purchasing an Alexa device with a Zigbee hub (Echo 4th generation, Echo Plus, Echo Show 10, Echo Studio), I can:

  1. Turn the lights on and off in a room using a relay (Sonoff/Shelly)
  2. Control the window blinds using a relay (Sonoff/Shelly)
  3. Manage the on/off of my private boiler and TRVs

Can you confirm that these things are possible? Thank you very much.

Why not buy a Zigbee adapter?

Trying to use manufacturers’ hubs with HA just creates endless problems.
