@bezerker With the current integration you can already start/stop charging your vehicle… make sure you have the latest release…
Hi, we've just got a Ford Tourneo Connect in the UK, I was wondering if anyone has successfully added this integration, if so what's the chances of my FordPass account being locked by Ford?
the integration has +300 stars @ github - so looks like that it work for some users... and since WebSocket implementation has been released I haven't received any feedback about locked accounts. Still the documented recommendations & warnings are still my recommendations and the general warnings.
@marq24 you're a fantastic human being, thanks so much for this, works brilliantly with my 2021 Kuga!
@palinkas-jo-reggelt Would you mind sharing how you added the "Ford Focus" entry to your sidebar? Is the dashboard something you made, or is it possible to import it? Apologies if it's a stupid question, I've only properly started using HA a few months ago..
Sure.
- Install mushroom card from HACS if you haven't already.
- Create
input_text.ford_vinhelper and put your VIN number. - Create a new empty dashboard (settings > dashboards > add new > from scratch) and name it whatever you want - i.e. "Ford Focus".
- Go to dashboard, click the pencil to edit dashboard, then click the 3 dots in the corner and choose Raw Configuration Editor, delete everything and paste in the yaml.
Yaml can be found here: GitHub - palinkas-jo-reggelt/FordPass-Dashboard: A Home Assistant dashboard for the marq24/ha-fordpass FordPass integration · GitHub
For placement/hide/unhide of the dashboard in the sidebar, you click your account (bottom of sidebar), then "Change the order and hide items from the sidebar".
Thank you so much! This is brilliant! Works like a charm!
This morning I found that my token expired, so I followed the instructions and got it working again. However, I'm curious what sets the expiration? Is this a Ford thing or is it something to do with the integration? Or is it not supposed to expire at all and this was some kind of fluke?
no clue at all... sorry
Does anyone have more than one vehicle in FordPass?
I’m wondering if there’s any need for a dynamic version of the dashboard that allows you to pick a vehicle…
