Here is a little POC I made (with little help from AI) to make my old HP P1102w printer smart.
I have connected the printer to an ESP32-S3 form Waveshare via USB and set up an CUPS server on my home server. The printer is then transferred via USB/IP to the CUPS server.
Printing from my mobile phone or any device in the network is now possible
