For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been receiving double notifications on my Android device running the Home Assistant Companion App. It does not matter whether the message sent to my phone is plain text or TTS, the results are the same: the notification is received twice.
I’ve tested this with the Actions tool in Developer Tools in the following way:
- Set “Action” to be “Send a notification via mobile_app_pixel_4a”
- Set “message” to “Test”
- Set “Title” to “Test”
- Press “Perform Action”
This results in two notifications on my phone.
I’m currently running Home Assistant Core 2025.10.4
I’ve attached screenshots of the Action tool and the phone notifications, in case I’m missing something obvious.
