Android app nearly unusable after update to HA 2025.6 🤔

The companion app on my android tablet is responding very slow to any touch since I updated HA to 2025.6.
Anyone else experiencing similar behavior or @dshokouhi: is there an obvious explanation for this?

Using the latest official minimal version of the app. (2025.5.3)

Did you try to delete the app cache?

Yes I did, seems to have no effect on this issue.

I have a suspicion that browser_mod is the cause of it…
Sometimes the HA app seems to be frozen after having opened/tried to open a browser_mod popup and restarting the app turns to be problematic as well since it cannot connect to the server.

Are you running the latest version of Browser Mod? A fix was introduced in 2.3.4 that makes sure that Browser Mod is loaded only ever once, otherwise strange issues occured due to multiple copies of code running.

Hi Darryn, thanks for stepping in!

I installed 2.4.3 yesterday (guess I was on 2.4.2) but that didn’t change anything.
It seems that the companion app is really stressing the device since the battery is also draining much more faster then ever before.
