Hello!
I have a pumpkin car radio wirh android in my golf mk5. Ive installed home assistant app which is running with an extra account and device.
On the radio is also an app “fahrzeug/vehicle” which displays certain information like speed, rpm, gasoline.
I saw in the ha app, there are sensors available which i activated. But it only shows not available or unknown.
Does anybody know what i can do that ha is showing the data?
Read the caution in the docs here. You will need to restart your app every time the phone connects to the car.
Even then, the status might still be Unknown (Unbekannt), as explained in the docs I linked.
But im not running android auto. Its like a normal tablet in my car. With its own android os and its own installation of ha.
There is no connection to my phone.
those sensors are for android auto and android automotive only, the APIs dont exist in a normal android setup
