Android IP Phones as Home Assistant Dashboard anyone?

Hello Everyone!

Has anyone ever tried using an Android-based IP Phone as a Home Assistant Dashboard? If so, was it worth it?

Thanks!

Do you mean use the companion app?

Like yeah, the Home Assistant app.

I alternate between using my phone via the app as its docked at my desk and the webgui through firefox on a side monitor based on what I need to check and do at the time as I also use my streamdeck xl for quick access controls.

But, as a full on dashboard dedicated device just for HA and nothing else like with tablets and wall screens then no.

Use case could also be if you have a Video Doorbell and your Phone is away from you.

That is what having a speaker is for and if you are setup right then you have a monitor turn on with a smart plug to a dedicated CCTV page that you are setup with at the time when the doorbell is pressed and you are home at the time and or use lights or light strip say in the bathroom flash a certain notification color as well.

The other tool for that is to have a notification sent to your TV or your PC with a still or live feed from the camera feed you need to set it to.
