Android tablet - how to get the sensors in HA

Hi …

I have an Android 10 tablet that used to be used for Tuya, but want to use it for HA dashboards…

The thing is that the tablet has multiple sensors

  • microphone
  • speakers
  • light sensor
  • temperature
  • smoke input sensor
  • door detector 1
  • door detector 2
  • Universal 1
  • Universal 2

Relay switches

  • relay 1
  • relay 2
  • relay 3
  • relay 4

that I want to expose to Home Assistant - I’ve installed the Home Assistant full app on it (apk file) - but no new sensors are detected…

any ideas what the best way for detecting and exposing all sensors/switches to HA would be ?

When you install the companion app you need to go into its settings and enable the sensors you want to pull data from then just wait for the data to be pulled into the HA server, you will see them enabled and what data they pull when you go into the device properties.

yes… so managed to get the Mic and power and screen and the default tablet sensors… but not the advanced ones like the relays or temperature

This not a regular Android tablet, but a wall switch + large touch screen thing that runs Android.

So it’s understandable that the Companion app would not be able to get you everything. You might have to search around.
