I recently picked up an Onn 4k device and have added that into my HA setup. I then followed and basically copy the remote code round here into a card, and everything works very well, except I can’t control the volume.
I even noticed when I look at the device integration, the icons are their for the volume, but can’t get them to work. Does anyone have volume control with an Onn 4k device?

I’m considering purchasing an Onn 100012587 (65" 4K UHD LED). Did you get your volume to work in Home Assistant? I’d like to know if there’s an issue before I make the purchase.

As for your issue (if you still have it), I also have an Android TV and it supports HDMI-CEC for controlling the power, volume, etc. for the TV. If your Onn TV supports this, it may be a more reliable way of controlling power and volume, and/or integrating with Home Assistant. Hope that helps!
I did not get the volume button to work, but I haven’t really had much time to look into. I primarily just use the Onn’s remote itself which works just fine. The main thing I like that is just being able to turn it on/off and open a particular app. While I haven’t done it yet, I do hope to add some automations to that.
