Anker Solix E2700 Pro experience

Hello everyone,

I’m currently looking into the Anker Solix E2700 Pro and have a few questions for those who already have experience with it:

  • How easy is it to integrate the Anker Solix E2700 Pro into Home Assistant?
  • What basic functions of the Solix can be controlled or monitored in Home Assistant?
  • Are there any limitations that bother you?
  • Can the Solix E2700 Pro detect AC surplus when a second balcony power plant is running on the same circuit—assuming a suitable smart meter is installed at the distribution box?
  • How does the configuration need to be set up so that both balcony power systems are properly taken into account, or does this happen automatically?

I’m looking forward to your experiences, tips, and insights!

Thanks in advance :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello there,

as someone who just got their solix and is new to HA it I can say that:

*How easy is it to integrate the Anker Solix E2700 Pro into Home Assistant?
Depends on your knowledge with HA, it takes some fiddling but it’s fairly straight forward. Took me way too long to get HA running, once you get past the repo installs it’s just a login and you get pretty much all measurements/options.

*What basic functions of the Solix can be controlled or monitored in Home Assistant?
Everything you can do and see in the official app you can replicate in HA. (maybe even got some extra options in HA). Or at least I haven’t missed any value/option yet.

*Are there any limitations that bother you?
The common way seems to be integrating your anker cloud account, so yea that’s online only. There are some modbus/local methods available but given my lack of knowledge I can’t comment on those.

Can the Solix E2700 Pro detect AC surplus when a second balcony power plant is running on the same circuit—assuming a suitable smart meter is installed at the distribution box?
yes. (aber aufpassen mit den 800W Wechselrichterleistung/2kWp je zähler, und auf garkeinen fall die solix 1k einspeisen lassen, das wäre höchst illegal)

*How does the configuration need to be set up so that both balcony power systems are properly taken into account, or does this happen automatically?
You can set the Solix to charge automatically on the AC side once it (or rather the smart meter) detects surplus there out of the box.
