Any experiance integrating "Clima+" Airconditioning units into Home Assistant?

We are looking at Airconditioning/heating units and one of the contractors offered an apparently Dutch brand called ‘Clima+’. Its has Wifi and ‘can be operated with an app’. But not sure about integration into Home Assistant. Unfortunately with such a generic name as ‘Clima’ its hard to search for without getting about every ‘Climate’ result back on the forums or otherwise. So hope I am not asking something very obvious that has been mentioned a lot already.

I did not see the brand in the list of integrations.

You should link to some model, clima+ is too generic.
My bet for now is Midea.

Pretty much looks like a “LEGIM” sold on alibaba.
(see the dimples above the logo, it exactly matches)

Most likely manufactured by one of the big chinese factories like gree or midea indeed.

That above looks like TCL

What would the model matter? I am asking as I can find 0 information about anything except the brandname and the kw of the units. Their website also is very generic, just listing one line of text saying its can be controled by their app and connected to google home and alexa.

Because Clima+ can be a some model of plenty of manufacturers.
Posting all the info you have is somehow unpleasant to you?

Its not a model, its the name of the ‘brand’.

Little is ‘unpleasant’ but all I have is ‘clima+’ as the brandname and looking up the brand’s website that says nothing. So your asking me to provide information I do not have and presuming the brandname is a model.

Good luck.

Thanks… sorry if this annoyed you. But really all there is to find is a dutch website with 0 info. And an older sales rep who thinks everything that connects to ‘an app’ will work. Thats why I was asking if anyone has any experience with this brand. Esp as the name is so generic and close to ‘climate’ it makes searching for information also hard.

https://clima-plus.nl/

Thanks.

Together with the very generic website thats mostly stock images and looks like it was made in a single day… This may indeed be some sort of re-branding of a generic airco.

Another sales rep of another company already offered LG airco’s so think this maybe a very bad choice.

Finally at least there is website. Try to google “Clima+” without regional search settings and tell me if your site pops up.
When you need help, at least supply all the information you have.

Anyway, from the photo on your site, looks like rebranded TCL and makes sense as well.
I’m sure you can find some (rebranded) Midea at the same price offering you better quality and easier integration.

It is very relevant as this clima+ website tells you nothing.
They are 12 in a dozen rebrands like you can buy at Hornbach these days.

At least finding the OEM you might get more information on the wifi module and if there is an option to connect it to Home Assistant.

My advise: just invest a bit more in a decent brand. Better for your energy bill and easier to integrate. The costs of installation are more than the unit price of these small and cheap brands these days.

That’s the hard part. Either you invest a lot more for japanese high end models or you stay with chinese “brand” ones that offer the same than LG or Samsung with lower price. Midea has the most modern production, and the quality is really not bad at all. Same is not valid for TCL.
Important to not get fooled by brand names to pay double for nothing. If your Bosch is Midea, why should you pay double…

The price was higher than brands like LG. While I was looking for information on how this brand may integrate. Sounds like a bit of a scam

You know, being friendly never hurt anyone. So much hostility…

Yeah, generally unfriendly people waste their time trying to help other people that deny to receive help if not served with their favorite flowers (which they are allergic to).
