Believe it or not we live on our boat so our automation projects are small and simple. I tired to wire up a wifi switch I got from aliexpress for the 12 volt led lights in the cabin but major voltage leak had them almost full bright when the switch was off!
Not sure how to fix that other than getting a relay instead. Maybe an 8266 and wire that up?
Major thing is I don’t want to run extra wires, I just want to add it to the existing circuit like I did with the switch.
Have you used them? Sonoff seem pretty high quality. Just wondering if they are prone to voltage leak too. I’ve been looking at the 4CH gang that can use 12 volt. Might be a goer.
Sonoff 4ch pro or pro r2 should work, they operate on 5 - 24 vdc or 90 - 250 vac. They use independent relay output. Wifi or RF 433 mHz. control. They would have no leakage current.
I am working with them to control my RV lights. Having some problems with flashing Tasmota but hope to have corrected in the next day or two.
Sonoff SV (safe voltage, 5 - 24 vdc) should also work.
There are dip switches inside the module, you can set for inching (momentary 1 to 16 seconds), toggle on / off, or interlock (default setting that allows only one of the four to be on at one time).
