I believe these may be rooted and HA installed. Look for posts in forums

You may also get a standard android or even iPad and mount and power with PoE. Just get POE to 5vdc converter. Of course network will use WiFi. If battery is concern in many cases removing battery and power by 5v is allowed.

iPads tend to have more off the shelf mount solutions but androids is more customizable and there are some custom devices available.

Has anyone ever removed the Batteries off Tablets considering they're always on Charge? I remember a house with iPads eventually ended up becoming swollen.

Some OS's es have the ability to set a (de)charging limit or you could use a smart plug to control the charging.
That's what I'm doing.
