Installing my renovated house with these Zigbee switches and would like to do the actual installation before firing up and configuring my Home Assistant and Zigbee coordinator connected to it.
It however seem that the MOES switch is in pairing mode (which is good) but beeps constantly (which is annoyingl) continuously when it is not paired. This makes it impossible to install the swithes beforehand. It works though, one can switch the lights on/off with the external rocker switch.
So the question is, does anyone know a way to get the MOES switch stop beeping without pairing it to the coordinator?
Does it have a battery inside? i assume i could open every one of the units and cut out the beeper itself, but dont want to start opening the switches.
Well, i might have found the solution by just not doing anything. It seems the units drop off from the pairing mode after power-on within 3-8 minutes, with bit varying timeouts.
I'd get HA & Zigbee up & running and test with a couple of switches first. Haven't heard great things about the Moes switches, especially the 2+ gang ones.
Before installing them, pair it up with ZHA or Z2M coordinator first. So it won't bother with beeping sounds. Later reset each switch again by switch toggling 5-10 times, and pair with near by router or coordinator.
I got 20 of them, will be following same strategy.
Does not help, can be heard from inside the walls.
