Anyone else have issues with devices being 'unavailable' in Home Connect?

I’ve got a Siemens Dishwasher integrated in HA through Home Connect for some time. About a week ago I noticed all entities are now showing as ‘unavailable’. I’ve removed and readded the integration, and I’ve also removed the API ’ application’ and added everything again as new. It finds the dishwasher in both cases, but every entity remains ‘unavailable’.

In the Home Connect App everything is fine. So somehow its the connection through the API that’s not working. Anyone else have this and solved it or have any ideas what could have changed or I messed up that it stopped working and how to get it working again?

Same here…
All Siemens equipment, and in range of wifi.

Ah, so its at least not just me. Perhaps an issue with all Siemens devices.

I had a similar issue with my Bosch dishwasher recently. I’m using Home Connect Alt rather than the official Home Connect integration. Not sure if it makes a difference.

For me the key was to turn my phone off wifi - then I could no longer access the dishwasher through the app - and therefore it was not directly related to HA. Turning the dishwasher off and back on at the wall fixed it for me.

I still see everything working in the Home Connect App.So I think this is a different issue.

Home Connect app doesn’t use the same API than the one that is publicly available (which is the one used at Home Assistant), so it can differ on functionality or it can even stop working while the app is still working.

A good way to easily know that is by checking if the connectivity entity is available and off (disconnected). That can mean that the API is working, but the connection between the appliance and the publicly available API is failing.

In that case you can try some things such the following:

Its now always ‘disconnected’ in the history. All the solutions presented I looked at. Except physically unplugging the dishwasher (as getting to the plug is a bit of a thing in our kitchen without unscrewing things). Perhaps I will give that a go in a weekend or another moment where I have some time. But it also seems odd to me this could cause the API tot not function anymore and the HC App does continue to work. But perhaps as you said if they are truely technically different.

Instead of physically unplugging your appliance, you can also disconnect the house circuit where the appliance is connected.

It spontaneously came back on today in Home Assistant. Not every entity is back, but most are.

Aside from upgrading as per usual to the latest version of HA (do that every release), no action was taken on my side. Not sure if it followed the upgrade of HA on the day…
