Anyone using the SIMcom SIM7600G-H 4G USB Dongle

Hi all,

Has anyone got this USB 4G dongle working with HA? The only info I’ve found is someone asking a question about the HAT version from about 6 months ago with no answer.

I’m interested in getting both SMS and 4G networking with this and want to check if it’ll work before buying.

If you were thinking of using it as a WiFi hotspot, then you are off on a tangent. There are other USB powered devices that can be used as a hotspot, but this is not one of them. HomeAssistant OS will most likely not have drivers to use it as is.

No, nothing WiFi, primary use is SMS and it would be ideal if HA could use 4G data as well.
