Both NUT and apcupsd work well to integrate a APC UPS via serial or USB into HA. I’ve never used APC PowerChute as it seemed to be proprietary. Another possible solution would be to read the snmp information on the ip. Works fine (haven’t been using it for a while since the ups died) if you find the correct mips (mibs, don’t know the term anymore).

I installed and configured NUT on all the relevant systems with UPS’ attached to them. Then installed and configured Network UPS Tools (NUT) in Home Assistant for each system that I wanted to monitor. Each system had different configuration steps (OPNSense, OpenWRT, Ubuntu, Windows)
