App shows only white screen

Hi all,

I had a power outage and my HA received a new IP address from the DHCP server.

Before I noticed that, I probably messed up the server URL, making the app unusable … I only see a white screen and cannot do/see anything else.

I removed and re-installed the app already, removed my phone from HA web.

Anyone who knows how to solve this issue?

Running the app on an iPhone 15 (latest and greatest software)

Thanks a lot in advance!

I have a similar problem. I changed the server address him IP to hostname. Then the app froze, only showing a white screen. In the browser, I can still open the instance alright.

What I tried (without success):

  • Force closed the app
  • Un- and reinstall the app
  • Use WiFi or cellular
  • Reboot phone
  • Delete safari cache
  • Landscape mode
  • Swipe from left
  • Pull to refresh
  • use the link from the browser to the app

App is 2025.7.1 (according to Apple App Store). Home Assistant is 2025.7.3 running in docker. Frontend is 20250702.3.

After reinstallation of the app, it asks for permission (location, notifications), but then there is the white screen again. No server selection or such.

Edit: When I accidentally shaked the phone, I was need up in this debug screen and could delete all data. Then, I could set up the server again. That was a tough one though. Had not though all these settings would survive when the app was deleted…

Thank you, shaking the phone solved my problem as well where it was giving the white screen. Thank you developers for putting that in, but a setup/config button would have been more straight forward.
