Apple TV Add Device Failed

I tried to add my Apple TV and failed as I didn’t add the Companion App Pin Code correctly. It had an initial “0” and I didn’t add just the trailing 3 numbers. I tried again with just the trailing 3 numbers and it Failed. Now, my Apple TV won’t display any numbers when I tried again.

I rebooted the Apple TV, and rebooted HA. HA allowed me to put in the first PIN. I received the 2nd pin on the Apple TV, and tried to input it (4 digits this time), and if Failed again. The Apple TV reverted to it’s usual function.

What do you recommend to complete the process?

Also, I assumed that I needed the Apple TV setup to use HomeKit Bridge so I could use Siri for all of my devices. Is this correct?

Unplug the Apple TV for at least 30 seconds, plug it back it and try again. It may be holding on to the previous data in it’s cache.

Yes, you will need Apple TV setup with the Apple Home App in order to use HomeKit Bridge and share HA entities to the Apple Home ecosystem.
