Hi, I am a complete newcomer to this forum and to the Home Assistant Green that I recently purchased. I would like to use my on/off plug for our coffee machine so that I can control it from my Apple Watch. I have the on/off button working in the Home Assistant app, but I want to have the same functionality on my Apple Watch.

I’m a bit lost on whether this is possible. I’ve tried following some YouTube videos, but I didn’t fully understand how to create triggers during the setup. I wonder if anyone has ideas on how to do this and could explain it to me like I’m a total beginner. I’m really eager to learn!

Create a script to turn off, turn on or just toggle the plug. Then you can add the script to your want using the ‘companion app’ section in settings on the iOS app.

Thank you for the answer / help, if I would like to go for the toggle the plug on/off, do you know if its possible to have a green colour when its ON and ie red if its off, and is that hard to to for a newbee like me :slight_smile:

You can have different colour for different states in a HA dashboard but not on the watch. All the watch button does does is kick off a script.

You can create a watch complication that shows the state of an entity but I have not done that.
