AppleTv and Plex automation - Client is not currently accepting playback controls"

Hey yall!

I am bashing my head because I just cant for the life of me complete an automation with the simple goal of playing a movie/show on my appletv plex app.
I get the following error: “Client is not currently accepting playback controls”
I have read a lot on the topic but no luck still, I have enabled the setting on the plex client to be advertised as controllable, put preferable on the secure connections instead of required, but nothing works.

For context, I do have plex running as a container on a VLAN, HA on a pi on another and the apple TV is on another. But they all have propper ACL rules and mDNS.

Can anyone help with this?

Ok so after a lot of pain, and for every soul watching this, turns out there is a fix!

On my case, I simply put the apple tv on the same VLAN as HA. This meant that when pairing, I could now see the companion app protocol (before it didnt prompt for it).
After this and while plex still has the same client not accepting playback error, I can play anything on the apple tv directly by just using deep links.
Bonus: if you use infuse it works, make sure to use it with library mode and deeplink tmdb id and voilla!
