I’ve hunted the archives but cannot find much about the Aqara A100 door lock. I like this model more than the matter-enabled Aqara products as it has multiple locking elements.
I have an M3 hub, I’ve paired my H2 dimmers with it and exported it via matter to HA. This works well and I think it will work ok with Homekit also. Does anyone have a good experience with adding the A100 door lock to that hub and sharing via Matter? What entities are exported? Can I unlock remotely?
The newer Uxxx locks I think work a lot better as they are thread/matter out of the box (although I found pairing the H2s works better via zigbee) but I’d like to use this device. Even if I can only get logs of unlocks that would be a win, the ability to remote unlock would be a big win.
They have added it but it’s quite a weak integration. You can only see the lock state which sounds like it’s useful but it’s not. I was hoping you’d be able to see the door open/closed state too but you cannot. So I’m going to add a door sensor to this door as well.
I have A100 Pro (chineese version) and M3 hub (also chineese). Lock is connected to hub through zigbee.
I connect hub to matter integration in Home Assistant, but lock is not available in HA. The only way to connect lock to HA I found through signal sync in Aqara app. You can create signal in Aqara app (e.g. lock is opened with some fingerprint), share it to HA ecosystem and it becomes available in matter integration in HA as a device. So you can use it as a trigger in HA.
