I have been having great success with Matter devices lately and was looking for a deadbolt that would work via Matter with Home Assistant without an additional hub. I have a Matter thread router already set up. I saw the Aqara B50 on sale the other day, so I thought, let’s give it a try!
I received the Aqara B50 deadbolt today. Before purchasing, I swear I read that it would work without a hub, and it had Matter support. I got the B50 setup with the Aqara Home app, but then noticed there was no way to get it to set up via Matter in HA. I also see there is no Aqara Home integration to use.
Does anyone know of a way to integrate the B50 into HA without purchasing an Aqara hub? Seems the two hub options are the M3 and M100, which I really don’t want to purchase just for this one deadbolt.
