Sorry if this is a stupid question, I just recently delved into Home Assistant so it’s very possible I’m overlooking something.
I’m currently running my HA server on my nephews old laptop. He wasn’t using it anymore so I took it off his hands.l Since I don’t currently have a Zigbee dongle, I decided to bring in all of my Aqara devices using Zigbee by integrating my M3 Hub using matter.
With the exception of my Aqara door sensors… I haven’t had any issues controlling my other Aqara Zigbee devices with the matter integration. But the door sensors have been a nightmare! I have 4 total and only one of them actually updates their “open/close” state properly. The rest either take forever to update or not at all!
I know it’s not an issue with the sensors or their batteries. The open/close states update instantly within the Aqara app, and all of the batteries have plenty of juice. I’ve seen there have been other topics on this issues, but they all listed trying to do this over a Zigbee dongle; not Matter. So I figured I might not have the same problem going the matter route… Guess I was wrong.
Any reason why this would be? Would it be best to buy a Zigbee dongle? If so, any recommendations?
