Aqara FP300, Help Me Understand Difference Between two settings

Hey folks, just bought my FP300 and two of the settings are really confusing me. They are the Absence delay timer and Pir detection interval .

i keep reading what the z2m page says but still dont fully get it. From what i gather Absence delay timer, this is the time it takes from when you lets say leave a room for the presence sensor to go from true to false. So if you set it to 30, once you leave the room it will take 30 seconds for it to go to false.

however now , im not sure what Pir detection interval , does then. I make a motion and i stand still or leave the room , and think if its set to lets say 5 seconds, then the Pir detection , will take 5 seconds to go from true to false. However i dont know if thats the case. I’d really appreciate some help and explanation

Remember that the FP300 has both a PIR & a MMwave sensor.

You’d usually want to set it up so PIR is used for initial motion detection (walking into a room) & the MMwave for occupancy (checking if you’re still in the room).

You’ll want to ensure that PIR detection interval is equal to or less than Absence delay timer. That way if you walk back into a room you just left 30s ago, it’ll be able to detect you immediately.
