Hi, how does it handle interference like from ceiling fan? Were you able to exclude that with the ai feature
Device support issue for ZHA is here: [Device Support Request] Aqara FP300 (lumi.sensor_occupy.agl8) · Issue #4487 · zigpy/zha-device-handlers · GitHub
Got 2 fp300’s yesterday. This thing is great! Super easy to set up (used the Aqara app to switch to Zigbee then easily paired with Z2M).
Had to set motion sensitivty to low but after that they are both working perfectly. No fuss, dead simple!
Highly reccomend.
Mine arrived today and, after switching to Zigbee via the Aqara app, I have it paired with ZHA and using the ‘in development’ quirk available from the GitHub link above.
It’s working great so far based on a test automation to turn my lights on/off with the device sitting on my desk in the office.
It’s currently sold out on Aqara’s AU store.
I got 2 for now, and they are working great and, as others said, it was dead simple to add them to HA (shelly should learn from Aqara how to do switching of firmwares correctly).
But i have one question. I want to turn on do an automation when the motion is detected - based on the current illuminance read. The problem is that when the the automation is triggered it is not getting the CURRENT value, but latest (i.e. can be from few seconds ago). And that could change - for example someone turned the lights on.
Do you guys know if Is it possible to get the LUX value at the moment when the motion was triggered? I tried using “update_entity” action - but looks like entity/device is not responding to that.
Same for me, is there any solution till?
You need to install the custom quirk that is linked above.
I have the same problem in my ZHA installation. Any solution?
hi, I’m thinking about getting this to replace my SONOFF SNZB-02P, I will also make use of the light sensor, can someone please answer the following questions
- can I change it to zigbee mode without a aqara hub
- doe it here an led, if so can it be turned off at night
- I plan on putting it on the wall by the side of my wall clock, this will put it above the corner of my tv, will this affect the performance of the light sensor
- what’s peoples opinions
- is it reliable

Yes, very simple using the Aqara app on your phone. -

Yes and Yes -

The light from the TV might impact the light sensor when the TV is on but it is probably not significant -
what’s peoples opinions
Love it. Easiest motion/occupancy sensors I’ve ever used (and I’ve tried dozens and hated them all!) -
is it reliable
So far, but its only been generally available for a few weeks so who knows long term.
Thank you so much for answering the questions, Think I will order it in January
I’m guessing it doesn’t require usb for powering
Just batteries. There isn’t even a USB power option.
Only issue I am having is with it occasionally not triggering an automation on occupancy clear, so had to do a “clear+1 minute” trigger as well to make sure
I don’t plan on using the occupancy sensor straight away, so shouldn’t affect me
I caved and order ed just because it’s on backorder
Using it with z2m. Amazing, as soon as they are available again I will buy more ![]()
Hi, mine arrived today, installed the Aqara app and it detected the FP300 straight away, I selected zigbee and it started the transfer process and completed successfully, I then added it to my existing zigbee 1st time trying and all sensors show but battery shows 0% and still does after several hours in use, also firmware shows unknown.
ZHA Quirk, everything works besides the LUX sensor for me.
can anyone help
