Aqara (homekit) gateway supported?

Hi everybody,

I’ve bought the latest Xiaomi Gateway, the v3 with homekit support. I’ve spent the last four hours trying to connect it to the mi home app, but it never worked (I tried both with an iphone and an android device).

It works fine with the Aqara home app though.

My question is: how can I get the key in order to integrate it to HASS ? I’m completely lost here, on the doc page (https://www.home-assistant.io/components/xiaomi_aqara/), it says that the Xiaomi Aqara Gateways (both v2 and v3) are supported, so I assumed it would be working, but now I’m not so sure anymore.

Thanks for your help

Did you end up finding a good guide for key retreival?

Sadly no, I ended up buying the gateway v2. I’ve been told by Aqara that they’ll eventually update the mi home app to support the gateway v3

Ah - thanks! I’ve been running Xiaomi sensors through Smarrthings - it works ok-ish. I think I’ll stick with that for a bit longer. Thanks for the heads up on the v3 hub!

I was watching a youtube video, and apparently the Homekit version of the hub is now supported in the Mi Home.

And indeed, when I go to the Mi Home app, I can see that the “Aqara hub” is now an option to add.

Has anyone successfully added it in the Mi home app, and then into HA?

It maybe in the mi home app, but you cannot seem to get the LAn key, without the developer mode active u cant do anything

I didn’t realise there were different versions and also have the “v3” HomeKit enabled hub. Will it be possible to get sensor readings via the HomeKit integration in HA?

Any updates on this?

is there a way get the token in another way?
