Aqara - single brief flash when turning on

I have six Aqara bulbs (T2 E26) in the same room with my HA and ZBT-2 antenna. They all work fine.
However, when I use Zigbee to turn on the lights, they have a bright flash before going to the correct level. Any suggestions on the issue or how to fix this?

TL;DR - With respect to the flash issue (when using Zigbee2MQTT) Third Reality bulbs were the least “quirky”, Aqara were the worst.

TR have there own set of issues - just not this one.

I was able to mitigate the flash by sending a pure blue 1% brightness command before turning the bulbs off, however in the end the cure was worse than the problem so I just went back to living with the flash.
