Aqara T1M RGB selction from Zigbee2MQTT

I think I have an issue, not sure where to post this

I have a SMLIGHT SLZB-06 in Zigbee mode.

I have a number of Aqara and INNR devices all working fine. (OTA is suerb)
Purchased the T1M Added it, updated it.
Generally works fine, but when in the ZigbeeMQTT dashboard, I click the colour chip next to the color xy label, select say Red, click OK and the colour stays black.

Does not matter what colour I try to select, always stays black.

Is this a bug?

Paul.

Do you have all the associated entities enabled? If I remember correctly the RGB is a separate entity on these lights.

Base on your post to GitHub, you probably realized this is an ongoing issue with these lights.

New to reporting issues!
To be clear, the picture showing the controls is from the Zigbee2MQTT dashboard.
When clicking the colour chip, select a colour, it never changes to selected colour.

If I use the colour picker from the ‘Overview’ dash all is good, and selecting the dropper works also.

Back to the Zigbee2MQTT dashboard…

The ‘ring’ is currently blue, but the MQTT dash is reporting black and cannot change the colour.
.
NOT being a clever clogs, could this be a bug in the MQTT dashboard code?
Not reading the entity correctly or able to set the entity correctly?

Just went back to the overview dash and changed the colour to purple and the icon changed to purple.

I am aware that the limitations for the ring is being able to mimic the funky light controls you can do if you use the Aqara M2 hub like WLed.

You reported the issue correctly. There isn’t much use for color changes via the Z2M dashboard. If you can accomplish what you want via the HA interface, its a win.

Appreciate the fast response!
Understood, use HA instead.
Took me ages but I can make the light go green or whatever colour.when my washing is done, so obviously I have control, but noticed the inconsistancey.

Its a great observation. There are so many devices and the population keeps growing. Z2M has challenges when trying to integrate and adjust to the device firmware changes.
