Can you tell me how you managed to get the aqara u200 on home assistant? I dont have homekit, i have the aqara m3 hub, dockerized home assistant and dockerized matter server, they talk to each other and i was able to add yhe aqara m3 hub via matter into home assistant, but its basically useless it only shows the locate me button and thats it…

The way I did it is U200 in HomeKit using Apple TV as thread board router. From there I’ve got a pairing code and paired it with Home Assistant (matter server)

I don’t have an m3 hub so I don’t know what that actually exposes over Matter, sorry.

Let me add that i also managed to configure a default thread network and pass the credentials along to it, so i see the thread network provided by the m3 hub just fine in home assistant. Then i go to add matter device, then already existing device, then other, then get the matter pairing code for the u200 from the aqara app, put that in home assistant while being bluetooth connected to the u200, but it wont connect, the wheel spins for minutes and then gives up

Did you press the connect button on the lock before connecting to home assistant? There is a button next to the battery.

Oh, i have not… the one called set?

Yes. It enables paring mode. If a short press is not working try a long press. I cannot remember which one I used.

Ill try tonight, just find it strange because i added it to google home using the exact same procedure and i didnt have to press anything on the lock

No change, short pressing it triggered a sound and blinking red button and didnt help pairing, while long pressing it triggered a calibration of the lock

Mhh, I’m sorry it was not more helpful. Honestly I connected the lock a couple of month back and can’t remember what else I might did. :frowning:

Anyone else has any suggestion? Funny how this matter product has turned out to be the only one i couldn’t integrate with ha, seems that matter is a step back rather than forward…

If you’re running Home Assistant in Docker, it’s likely a Docker-related issue. I had the same problem with my HA Docker setup — no matter what I tried, I couldn’t get it to work (no pun intended). When I switched to Home Assistant OS and installed the Matter add-on, I was able to add my Aqara lock to HA in just a few minutes.

The strange thing is that i added other matter products to docker ha just fine, one being the aqara m3 hub itself, which has also been set as the thread network provider, so i doubt that its docker preventing it to work, itd have prevented the m3 hub too for example wouldn’t it?

This is how id like to use it also, I don’t have any apple devices other than my gf having an iphone. May have to return it given the featureset by importing directly into HA is very limited.

Thank you! This worked for me also! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I did that but when i go to add the u200 i pick add an already paired matter device, put the pairing code, yet it never adds it, even though i added the m3 hub to my ha and have set it as the default thead network provider and sent the credentials to the phone. Did you do anything differently?
