Is there plans to add nfc support?

NFC support already exists in Ariela. Aka: scan nfc tag and send that info to Home Assistant.

Seems that update was rejected by Google since I need to add a screen were explain to users what the location permission will be used for. I will do that in the following days.

does this tie into the new mechanism added to HA or is it Ariela specific?

I believe it can be used with HA official app too, not only Ariela.

I guess my question was: does the integration take advantage of the native nfc support added recently in HA? My guess is no since the ariela nfc support already existed.

By native I mean being able to read and store the tags on HA itself and provide nfc events associated with them.

I can send an APK, but you will lose Google Play updates capabilities.

Yes it’s very frustrating. It’s been over a month since the this was pointed out, as far as I know, and still no progress.

This is the pro version, so you would think this would be a higher priority.

looking very very good @Ionut

to bad its to far away from me, because im not using lovelace.

my phone is probably to old and to simple, and my HA pages are to much and to big, with the result that the one time that i want to use this app, it takes forever before everything is loaded.

im afraid that im not far away from removing the app, not because it isnt any good (because i think you did an awesome job) but because its not for me at this moment in time.

ill still recommend it to everyone else though!

I have in plan adding a new feature to Ariela where you manually select the entities / cards that should be displayed. Also, new Ariela version has some loading improvements and also a dashboard selection option.
Also, the new Ariela Quick launch it should give you possibility to control entities in less than 1 second:
