Seems to work according to this blog post. In French! Test Arlo Video Doorbell : une sonnette connectée sans fil avec alarme intégrée – Les Alexiens
I would consider buying one but it seems that without the Arlo server, eg. in a disaster scenario you have just a plastic brick at your entrance.
