As an user working in IT i do have my own mail server and my own domains. I exlusively only use emails from this domain.
When trying to sign up for the HomeAssistant Nabu Casa cloud using emails from this domain - or any other domain i own - did not work.
I had to fall back onto my gmail email which i really seriously don’t want to use as it does not fit my workflow. I do not check the gmail email frequently, from my standpoint its a non functional email therefore.
As a german living in the netherlands i value souvernty and running your own infrastructure quite a lot which is why i use HomeAssistant.
So whats the argument why can i not use my own email domains here? Why do i have to use a functional defunt email that’s hosted by a large email provider?
