I updated to 116 yesterday. I have a User created without any Person (for my wife). Now I was going to create a Person for it but the drop down to select the User to associate the Person with is gone. I can only create a new user.
Is this a bug? Can I associate them somehow or do I have to delete my wife’s user and recreate it?
It’s there for me. Where are you doing this, in the persons page?
EDIT: It even exists for existing users.

Looks like there was a change at the end of 0.116, just updated my dev box to the latest and you are correct. The dropdown is gone. However, after reading the release notes, it’s clear that users are now gone. So delete the user for your wife user and create a person. Then choose the ‘allow person to login’ option. When you select “allow person to log on” a PW box will appear where you can add user credentials.

If you like me, deleted your user files because you lost your owner’s acount password, you need to untick and retick “allow this person to log in” in the dialog box on the persons page. That gives you a prompt to create a new user (delete the old user first). You can use the same password as before.
(Also don’t forget to enable advanced mode if you can’t see the users tab 
)
