Athom PS01 doesn't Connect to Wifi

Hi.
I have two Athom PS01 presence sensors.
Before moving they worked just fine.

Now i moved and they won’t connect to Home Assistant through WiFi.
Always says “Failed to connect.” or “Invalid flow specified” even though PW is correct.

Also I find the devices through the HA App on my phone but I don’t find them on my PC.

Only difference:
Because of problems with my provider I have a temporary router with an LTE SIM for Internet.

Any suggestions?

Kindest regards
Brian

Hi Brian, if you use your phone and pc to connect to the same HA instance, you should be able to see the same content, given you look a the same screens.

Also, your router/internet connection should not make any difference IF you are connecting to your HA locally, either wired or through Wi-Fi.

Can you elaborate what you mean by this? Normally the mobile companion app and the PC web page show the exact same thing, so I’m unclear why you may be seeing a difference?

Presumably your PS01 sensors are running esphome firmware? The firmware they ship with has captive_portal enabled so if the device can’t connect to WiFi it will start broadcasting its own hotspot which you can connect and temporarily assign a new SSID and PW.

If the hotspot doesn’t appear (and you haven’t disabled it) then the device should be connecting to WiFi and should appear in your router’s DHCP address listing. If so, then your problem isn’t WiFi-related, it may be mDNS or API-key related — open a web browser to the senor’s IP address to confirm it’s on the network and see if there are any message in its logs.

Ah, i found my mistake.
Even though I found my sensors in the app they couldn’t connect to the WiFi because I had to reset them via the button and connect them to my new WiFi.
I thought that would work automatically.
Now everythings works just fine.
