Atios Smartcore in a brick and plaster house

Has anyone in the UK (or somewhere else with bricks walls and plaster) managed to set up an Atios Smartcore in their house? If so how did you wire it up? Have you got any wiring diagrams?

I really want to get one so I can get more use from my HA. I don’t want to use wireless lighting and sockets.

I’m having problems with the structure of the house; brick walls with plaster. Current cables are buried in the plaster, some in conduit some not, and if there is conduit it’s only big enough for one cable. Under the floorboards there are also noggings between joists so I can’t pull cables parallel to joists, I’d have to lift floorboards and drill through the noggings. Plus building regs want cables secured every 400mm. The ground floor is solid so all sockets run down from the ceiling. I just laid my loft floor boards with really nice tongue and groove so lifing that up to rewire the first floor ceiling lighting is a no. There are hatches above the first for ceiling light roses and light switches but all cables are dog legged through joists and clipped. I don’t have coving to hide cables behind either. I can lift the first floor floorboards, but would prefer to avoid chasing out the downstairs walls.

I found one work around might be using Lunatone products. I thought for the lights I could use the existing light swich cables as a DALI bus and have a Lunatone MC+ next to the light but apparently that can only do 50cm cable runs when I’d have a few meters between switch and light. I’d still need to figure out how to get the main DALI bus around all the lights on the first floor.

With sockets I think I need to take the existing socket out and wire the ring main to a fused connection unit then to a Lunatone RM16 relay then to the socket (because the ring main is 32A and the Lunatone 16A). Correct? Any alternatives?

Failing all this I think I will need to stick to just running a DALI bus around the house and getting LED strip lights. The usual lights and sockets will have to stay dumb but I should be able to make the outdoor lighting, loft conversion and extension I’m currently doing smart.

Thanks for any responses
