I attempted to add a Range Extender7 which was added and removed and re-added in an endless repeating loop until I unplugged it when it reached “node 16” as each attempt it assigned a new node number. How do I get this to be included properly?

This is another instance of HA running on a Pi4 that I am trying to setup for another location. The Z-wave network does not have any devices on it and this is the first one I attempted to add other than the controller. I added the same controller to my other HA instance without issue but I am thinking this one is not setup completely or properly as when I attempt to add a node I get the message below. How do I add the security key information it is asking for? Thank you.
I added this keys in the settings section and reattempted to add. It worked but it is “node 17” when there are only two nodes. Wish I knew how to renumber nodes.
There is no way to renumber
That’s too bad. Seems like it would not be that hard to do.
It’s baked into the zwave firmware that Silicon Labs controls.
