i want to enable HA to send music to my stereo system (like, when it’s time to get up). running a cable is not a good option, so i thought something using wifi, something compatible with sonos? i could buy a sonos device, but i want to use my existing stereo system. this interface needs to support WPA2 encryption (i am NOT gonna run unencrypted wifi) and put out line level audio, preferably on 2.5 mm or RCA plugs
If your audio system has hdmi inputs you could buy a chromecast. Chromecast audio unfortunately was discontinued. Hou could also combine the chromecast with an audio splitter, or google for chromecast audio alternatives.
If your amp does not have HDMI and your TV is connected to your amp that can work too. If your tv supports streaming you are done. If it does not support streaming, then put a chromecast in your TV.
