Automate Octopus add-hoc off-peak energy usage (Ha hardware)

After having problems with the HA Yellow that I purchased (unused)

YES I thought i was taking the easy road into Home Automation automating my VE BSS and maximising my use of the Octopus iGO tariff

Well that turned out to be quite a intense nightmare, So I was wondering what is ‘the best way’ to automate Octopus add-hoc off-peak energy usage.
As In should I just purchase a HA Green box and try again OR should I be looking at some other hardware a Mini Pc OR???
I really am just looking for a simple solution and do not want to get into too much complication and I appreciate that getting whatever hardware I purchase this is only the first step on this project

many thanks

That is not dependent on the hardware you use. Home Assistant is running perfectly on different hardware.
Install Home Assistant on any hardware that is supported and then move on with your next step.

Have a look at this thread (sorry, you did it already).

What did? Is the hardware faulty? If so fix it. If not, why replace it?

Is the Octopus/Victron integration faulty? If so, provide feedback to the developer to improve it.

Is the procedure to configure the integration too complicated, or the documentation inadequate? Ask away!

Are you having problems with integrating the data you collect to control your energy usage? You may need a further integration or automation.

Document clearly what you have tried, what worked, what didn’t, what any error and system logs say, and we can offer suggestions, otherwise you may be unnecessarily spending money on new hardware to repeat the same problem.
